Schools and other organizations may choose any one or more of the topics above, each representing a commitment of one or more days. By combining ten of the “days” together, for example, the Heads Up consultancy would oversee the full strategic planning process from data gathering through consensus building, to the final creation of a written and approved multi-year plan. Likewise, Heads Up Consulting would manage and oversee an executive search process by an organization’s commitment of 10 – 20 days, depending on the extent to which a school wanted to do some portions itself or outsource the entire process to Heads Up. A 20-day commitment would result in a successfully completed search, at half or less the price of other firms. Typically, longer commitments of several days entail a retainer for a 6- to 12-month period, allocating and reserving specific agreed-upon dates in 2 – 3 day clusters, to maximize focus and efficiencies and to minimize travel costs. Multiple day commitments can be spread over a short period of time (two months) or a longer period of time (up to 12 months) as suits the client and as fits our firm’s schedule of other commitments. By committing to the ten-day engagement (for strategic planning) or longer (for a Head of School search), schools can assure themselves of a sustained time commitment and relationship with Heads Up Educational Consulting.
